Mobilicom is pleased to announce it has completed delivery of 200 of its MCU200 Mobile Mesh networking units to global robotics, drones and unmanned platforms provider Elbit Systems in a contract worth $280,000. NASDAQ-listed Elbit Systems (ESLT) has a market cap of more than US$7.8 billion, with yearly revenues exceeding US$6 billion and more than 17,000 employees worldwide. Elbit provides airborne, land and naval systems and products catering primarily to the defense and homeland security sectors, as well as the commercial market, and is one of the largest suppliers of drones and unmanned systems outside of the US. It invests in and develops a variety of robotics, drones and unmanned platforms in air, land and sea for the commercial and defense segments. Elbit is considered to be a world leader in unmanned surface vessels (USV) and recently won a contract to supply its Seagull USVs to the Navy of an Asia-Pacific country. Mobilicom CEO Oren Elkayam said Elbit selected Mobilicom’s MCU200 units to provide a secure maritime communication solution and data link for its Seagull USV. “Mobilicom’s MCU200 Mobile Mesh networking units are an integral part of the USVs to be supplied under the international Navy contract. The MCU200 enables remote control of the Seagull’s sailing and navigation, receiving the vessel telemetry, live videos and sensors for its operation. “This purchase order demonstrates that Mobilicom’s strategy as end-to-end provider of smart solutions for robotics, drones and autonomous platforms is succeeding. “Mobilicom was originally chosen as controller provider for Elbit’s drones and small UAVs with an initial multi-million-dollar contract. Now, we have the opportunity to increase revenues by extending our relationship with Elbit by providing a networking solution for the Seagull and expanding into additional platforms of Elbit.” Figures 1 and 2 – Mobilicom’s MCU200 Mobile Mesh networking units.
